Alpine Set To Unveil A390_β Electric Sport Fastback, Expanding Its Electric Lineup

On 11 October 2024, Alpine will reveal the A390_β show car on its media website. This model is a precursor to the brand's upcoming sport fastback, set for production in Dieppe in 2025. The A390_β will join Alpine's all-electric Dream Garage, which includes the A290 hot hatch that launched this summer.

The A390_β follows Alpine's naming convention, featuring an 'A' and three numbers. The '3' indicates the vehicle's size, while '90' signifies its versatile and everyday use nature. This new model will debut at the Paris Motor Show from 14 to 20 October 2024. Alongside it, Alpine will showcase the Alpenglow Hy6 hydrogen prototype, the A290, and new customisations of the A110.

Alpine's New Electric Fastback

Founded by Jean Rédélé in 1955, Alpine has become renowned for its French-style sports cars. In 2018, the brand introduced the new A110, staying true to its principles of compactness, lightness, agility, and driving pleasure. The Alpine Business Unit was established in 2021 to leverage the heritage of its Dieppe factory and engineering expertise from Alpine Racing and Alpine Cars teams.

This expertise allows Alpine to compete in major FIA championships like Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship. Additionally, Alpine participates in other mechanical disciplines through customer competitions in Rally, Cup, and GT4.

The year 2024 marks a significant milestone for Alpine with the launch of its first electric urban sports car, the A290. This model inaugurates Alpine's fully electric "Dream Garage," reflecting the brand's commitment to innovative and exclusive sports cars within the Renault Group.

Alpine continues to build on its legacy with new models and technological advancements. The introduction of electric vehicles like the A290 and forthcoming A390_β demonstrates Alpine's dedication to evolving with modern automotive trends while maintaining its core values.
