Alfa Romeo Milano SUV: A Leap Into Electric And Petrol Markets
Alfa Romeo introduces the Milano SUV, a significant move into the small car market with both petrol and electric versions. The electric model boasts a 255-mile range with a 54 kWh battery, while the petrol variant features a hybrid engine. Built on the e-CMP2 architecture, the Milano offers three trim levels and anticipates a starting price of £26,000 for the hybrid and £35,000 for electric.
Italian luxury carmaker Alfa Romeo has revealed the Milano SUV, which sees it return to the small car market for the first time since the firm axed the MiTo hatchback in 2018. The new Alfa Romeo Milano comes with both petrol and electric versions.
The new Alfa Romeo Milano is based on the Stellantis group's e-CMP2 modular architecture that already underpins SUVs like the Fiat 600, the Jeep Avenger, Puegeot 2008 and the Opel Mokka.

The Alfa Romeo Milano is offered in two guises - Ibrida (petrol) and Elettrica (Electric). The Milano Ibrida uses a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 134bhp which is aided by a 28bhp electric motor. The hybrid setup sends power to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic gearbox.
The electric Milano is powered by a robust 54 kWh battery that promises a range of up to 410 kilometres on a single charge. The Milano Elettrica is offered in two guises - the base version that produces 156bhp and delivers a range of 410km. The higher-spec model produces 234bhp from the single electric motor that is once again clamped to the front axle.

Where the Milano stands out from the other Setellantis vehicles is the design of the compact SUV. The front features slim headlights and daytime-running lights, with a darker intake lower in the bumper and Alfa Romeo's 'shield grille' that sits beneath the badge at the edge of the bonnet.
The sides features 20-inch alloy wheels and door handles on the C-Pillar for the rear door. At the rear of the Alfa Romeo Milano features a single-piece lighting element that runs across the width of the SUV underneath which sits the Alfa Romeo lettering.

The interior of the Alfa Romeo Milano features twin 10.25-inch displays for the instrumentation and infotainment. The touchscreen infotainment display sits underneath the air vents on the centre console and allows for over-the-air updates while also featuring connected navigation.
