Alex Scott MBE Champions BMW’s Living With Electric Campaign To Promote EV Adoption
BMW has teamed up with Alex Scott MBE to promote electric mobility in style. The former footballer and broadcaster will lead the 'Living with Electric' campaign, featuring the BMW iX2. This initiative highlights BMW's dedication to innovation and promoting electric vehicle (EV) adoption. Alex embodies the rebellious spirit of the BMW iX2, known for her achievements in football, sports presenting, activism, and fashion.
A YouGov report indicates widespread misinformation about EVs, particularly among women. Only 20% of women consider EVs compared to 33% of men. To boost adoption, it's crucial to engage a diverse audience effectively. Alex will play a key role in the multimedia campaign, sharing her journey with the BMW iX2. This series aims to address misconceptions and provide practical advice on EV ownership.
Launched earlier this year, the BMW iX2 combines dynamic style, advanced technology, spaciousness, and comfort. It offers up to 283 kilometres (WLTP) on a single charge. With its distinctive front design, the BMW iX2 appeals to those who challenge norms, much like Alex Scott.
Alex will direct content for the campaign, offering relatable insights into EV ownership. She'll tackle initial doubts and demystify common misconceptions about electric vehicles. Her honest perspective aims to drive positive change by cutting through technical jargon.
Reflecting on her involvement, Alex stated: "I hold my hands up; I wasn’t sure how an electric car would fit into my busy lifestyle... However, as someone who supports positive cultural change, I was eager to explore the possibilities." She found that the BMW iX2 transformed her perspective on driving.
