Adam Shorrock Awarded 2024 Newspress Automotive Photographer For Bike Imagery
Adam Shorrock has clinched the Newspress 2024 Award for Automotive Photographer, a category traditionally dominated by car images. Shorrock's entry, which exclusively featured bikes, stood out in a field that included strong contenders such as Aston Parrott, Ben Midlane, Jayson Fong, Nick Skinner, Nick Williams, and William Neill.
Since its inception in 2016, the photographer award has rarely seen bike images. The criteria for the award required three standout photographs demonstrating technical excellence, brilliant composition, and captivating imagery. Trevor Adams, one of the judges, remarked on the difficulty of the decision-making process.
"It’s been a tough decision for sure, but I kept hedging towards Adam Shorrock. I couldn’t make it definitive, so I sought second opinions from some colleagues. Ultimately, we all reached the same decision, but everyone agreed it was not easy," Adams stated.
The Newspress Awards continue to celebrate exceptional talent in automotive photography, with this year's recognition highlighting the diversity and skill within the field.
