Sunday's race was less dramatic but equally successful for Neto. He maintained his pole position throughout, winning comfortably and securing both poles and fastest laps over the weekend. Cooper Broll finished fourth after a strategic drive to avoid early collisions.

Kris Valdez returned to racing at Indianapolis with his Honda Civic Type R. Starting eighth, he climbed to fifth in race one, earning the Hard Charger Award. In race two, Valdez finished sixth after a clean drive. Alex Garcia piloted his Honda Civic Si to victory in TCA race one after recovering from an early setback.

Garcia's performance earned him another Hard Charger Award. In race two, he secured second place after an impressive start but couldn't catch the leader. Despite missing initial races, Garcia achieved five victories this season with his Civic Si.

GT World Challenge America Highlights

The GT World Challenge America's season finale featured an eight-hour race at Indianapolis. Luca Mars started 12th in an Acura NSX GT3 and quickly moved up four places. Despite a pit infraction penalty that set them back, Mars and teammates Zach Veach and Gabby Chaves fought hard.

The team faced another penalty due to contact with a slower car but continued pushing forward. They managed to finish fourth overall and second in class despite fuel-saving strategies towards the end of the race.

Driver Reflections

"Race one was a really tough race, physically and mentally," said Celso Neto about his experience at Indy. "But the team really helped me with the car and with the support from Honda Racing HRC, I couldn't ask for anything more." Zack Veach expressed pride in his team's resilience: "What a day! It seemed like everything that could happen to put us down did."

Luca Mars shared his excitement about learning throughout the season: "It was awesome. I learned so much this year – from Zach [Veach], and from everyone at HRC." Gabby Chaves praised their strategy: "Opting to go to fuel save early... We were able to keep up our pace even while saving fuel."

Looking Ahead

The 2024 racing season concluded at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with impressive performances across various categories. The 2025 season is set to begin on March 28-30 at Sonoma Raceway in California, promising more exciting races ahead.
