AC Ace Classic Electric Sports Car Showcased At SEMA 2024 In Las Vegas With TREMEC Technology

AC Cars, the oldest active vehicle manufacturer in Britain, has introduced the AC Ace Classic electric at the SEMA 2024 event in Las Vegas. Partnering with TREMEC Electric GT, this new model blends classic design with modern electric technology. The car features a hand-laid carbon fibre body and a bespoke interior, showcasing a unique 300 bhp (225 kW) powertrain.

The AC Ace Classic electric accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds and offers a range exceeding 200 miles. It is equipped with a 72 kWh battery and delivers 500Nm (369ft lb) of torque. Only 49 units will be available initially, with reservations open at the SEMA show or through AC Cars' website.

Antonio Herrera, Managing Director of TREMEC, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: "TREMEC and AC Cars are two companies that understand the importance of heritage and integrity, yet both are committed to challenging convention and breaking new ground."

The roadster's design pays homage to its predecessors while incorporating modern elements. It retains the open grille design reminiscent of the original AC Ace before it evolved into the iconic AC Cobra. The car's weight distribution remains balanced due to its lightweight construction.

Alan Lubinsky, Chairman of AC Cars, stated: "It’s an honour to be at SEMA with TREMEC, and the response to the new AC Ace roadster has been phenomenal." He highlighted the significance of integrating advanced EV technology into such a classic design.

Production Details

The new model is priced at $275,000 (£212,000) before taxes. Deliveries for these exclusive vehicles will commence in 2025. Each car will have an official chassis number, marking it as part of AC's historic lineage.

The vehicle's performance is enhanced by TREMEC's expertise in electrified technologies. Despite its speed capabilities, it maintains excellent handling dynamics thanks to its precise engineering.
