2025 Toyota Camry Launched At Rs 48 Lakh - Hybrid Japanese Excellence
Japanese carmaker Toyota has launched the 9th generation Camry sedan in India. The new 2025 Toyota Camry is priced at Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom).
The ninth-generation Toyota Camry (XV80) was unveiled in 2023 and went on sale in international markets earlier this year. The new Camry for India is manufactured in Thailand and imported into the country as a completely knocked down (CKD) unit that is later assembled in Toyota's facility in Karnataka.

In terms of its looks, the 9th-gen Camry is an evolution compared to the previous version of the luxury sedan (XV80). The 2025 Camry sports Toyota's large "hammerhead" front grille, sleek dual-projector LED headlamps, C-shaped LED DRLs and a sculpted bonnet.
The sides of the new Toyota Camry feature sculpted lines that run across the doors along with flared wheelarches that play host to the 18-inch alloy wheels it rides on. At the rear, the new Toyota Camry features LED combination taillights, a boot lip spoiler and a redesigned rear bumper.

Inside, the Camry has been given a big upgrade in the form of dual 12.3-inch displays for the instrumentation and the infotainment systems. The infotainment touchscreen display supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and comes paired with a JBL premium audio system with nine speakers.
Also present are a 10-inch heads-up display, the Toyota i-Connect connected car setup, a voice assistant along with heated and ventilated seats, leather upholstery for the seats and steering wheel, aluminium pedals, dual-zone climate control system, a large panoramic sunroof and a wireless phone charger.

Powering the Camry is the fifth generation of the hybrid powertrain that has powered the Camry in India since 2012. The 2.5-litre Atkinson Cycle petrol engine is aided by an electric motor on the front axle that is powered by a nickel-metal hydride (Ni-Mh) battery pack. The max output of the hybrid system is capped at 225bhp and it comes paired with an e-CVT gearbox from Aisin Seiki.
In terms of safety features, the hybrid 2025 Toyota Camry features eight airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Hill Start Assist, Blind Spot Monitor, and TPMS. The new Camry also features Toyota's Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 ADAS setup.
