2025 Skoda Kodiaq To Make India Debut At Bharat Mobility Show: All Details Here
The Skoda Kodiaq is gearing up for its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Show in New Delhi, starting January 17. The market launch is anticipated between April and June 2025. This new model boasts more advanced technology and features, built on the updated MQB EVO platform. It promises a slightly larger cabin and additional features compared to its predecessor.
Engine and Performance
Continuing with the petrol engine, the new Kodiaq will feature the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine as before. This engine delivers 190hp and 320Nm of torque. A 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox with a 4X4 setup handles transmission duties, ensuring smooth performance.

Design and Interior Features
The second-generation Kodiaq showcases Skoda's "Modern Solid" design language. It's slightly longer than the previous model, offering more interior space and boot capacity. Inside, it will feature a 13-inch infotainment screen, a fully digital instrument cluster, and the innovative Smart Dial setup with customisable colour displays.

Variants and Testing
Skoda India has already deployed several units of the new Kodiaq on Indian roads for testing purposes. Observations suggest that at least two trim levels will be available at launch. Previously, three trims were offered, but only the top-spec L&K continued until the end of its lifecycle.

Market Positioning
The new Kodiaq is expected to see a slight price increase upon launch. Currently, the outgoing model is priced at Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India), with some units still available from dealers. The SUV will face competition from models like Volkswagen Taigun, Jeep Meridian, Hyundai Tucson, MG Gloster, and Toyota Fortuner.
The upcoming Kodiaq aims to enhance its appeal with improved features while maintaining its robust performance credentials. As it prepares for its market entry in mid-2025, anticipation builds around how it will fare against its key rivals in India's competitive SUV segment.
