2025 MG ZS SUV Revealed: All Details Here
MG Motor has unveiled the 2025 ZS Hybrid+, introducing a hybrid powertrain to its compact SUV lineup. Indian customers are already familiar with the MG ZS EV and its ICE-powered counterpart, the MG Astor. The new ZS Hybrid adds a third powertrain option to the ZS family, featuring significant design and feature updates. This new design language is expected to be adopted by the Astor and ZS EV in India.
The 2025 MG ZS Hybrid boasts a completely revamped exterior design. It now features a sportier look with a larger grille at the lower section, sharply styled wraparound LED headlamps, and a redesigned front bumper with new air intakes.

The profile remains largely unchanged except for revised wheel arches and new alloy wheels. At the rear, it gets new LED taillights, an updated bumper, and a reworked tailgate that bears a striking resemblance to the previous generation BMW X1's rear.
2025 MG ZS Hybrid Cabin Changes
Inside, the 2025 MG ZS Hybrid sees notable upgrades. It includes twin screens: a 7-inch digital instrument console and a 12.3-inch infotainment display. Other changes include a vertically stacked wireless charging pad, new air vents, and an updated steering wheel. Key features include auto headlamps, keyless entry, auto climate control, rain-sensing wipers, three driving modes (Eco, Sport, Normal), and three regen modes.
The cabin also offers heated front seats and steering wheel, a six-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and a 360-degree camera in global markets. These enhancements aim to provide a more comfortable and tech-savvy driving experience.

2025 MG ZS Hybrid Engine
The major update lies in the powertrain of the MG ZS Hybrid+. It now uses a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine from the MG3 model in their lineup. This engine produces 101 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque and is paired with a 100 kW (134 bhp) electric motor. The combined output reaches 192 bhp and 465 Nm of torque, supported by a 1.83 kWh battery pack.
The new ZS Hybrid also comes equipped with an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS). This includes pedestrian and cyclist detection for Auto Emergency Braking, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, other features. Safety is further enhanced with six airbags as standard along with three-point seatbelts for all occupants.

2025 MG ZS Hybrid India Launch?
The updated MG ZS is set to make its way to India with these visual and feature changes being incorporated into the Astor and ZS EV models. It remains to be seen if this hybrid powertrain will be introduced in India to compete with existing hybrid compact SUVs like the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
The arrival of the new MG Astor and ZS EV in India is anticipated sometime next year or later based on market conditions. Meanwhile, MG Motor India is preparing to launch its third EV model—the Windsor EV—on September 11, 2024.
