2025 Mazda CX-5 Unveiled: Enhanced Features And Competitive Pricing
Mazda North American Operations has announced the pricing and features for the 2025 CX-5. The new model will be available at dealerships nationwide later this summer, starting at an MSRP of $28,570. The 2025 CX-5 offers a blend of refined styling, excellent driving dynamics, and a serene cabin.
The 2025 CX-5 includes standard all-wheel drive across all models in the U.S. New updates focus on enhancing customer value, such as standard dual front USB-C ports and other technology upgrades. Every model comes with Mazda Connected Services, allowing remote monitoring via the MyMazda app and includes a three-month or 2GB trial of in-car Wi-Fi.
The entry-level CX-5 2.5 S returns with Mazda's Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter engine, delivering up to 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. This model can achieve an EPA estimate of up to 26 mpg city, 30 mpg freeway, and 28 mpg combined. It features a six-speed automatic transmission with manual and sport modes.
Inside, the CX-5 boasts a 10.25" full-colour display with Mazda Connect infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Standard features include cloth seating, push-button start, leather-wrapped shifter and steering wheel with mounted controls, dual front USB-C inputs, reclining rear seats, and a four-speaker sound system.
The CX-5 2.5 S Select adds conveniences like auto-leveling headlights, rear privacy glass, body-coloured lower bumpers, rocker moldings, fender trim, six-way power adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, black leatherette seating, rear occupant air-conditioning vents, and additional USB-A charging ports in the rear.
Advanced Safety Features
Safety is paramount in the CX-5 lineup. All models come equipped with i-Activsense safety features including eight airbags, blind spot monitoring, Advanced Smart City Brake Support with pedestrian detection, Lane Keep Assist, Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go functionality, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Seat Alert, and Smart Brake Support.
The CX-5 2.5 S Preferred enhances comfort with a power sliding-glass moonroof and power rear liftgate. Inside are black or parchment leather seats with power adjustability for both driver (eight-way) and passenger (six-way). The driver's seat also includes two-position memory settings and power lumbar support.
Exclusive Editions
The Carbon Edition continues to offer unique styling options like Polymetal Gray exterior paint and choices between black leather with red stitching or red leather interior. It also features black metallic 19-inch wheels and gloss black side mirrors. For added convenience in 2025 models now include wireless phone charging along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
For performance enthusiasts, the CX-5 2.5 Carbon Turbo offers a powerful Skyactiv-G engine delivering up to 256 horsepower on premium fuel. Exclusive features include terracotta leather-trimmed seats with black suede-like inserts and contrasting stitching throughout the interior.
Premium Models
The Premium Plus model introduces Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive), which allows drivers to choose between Normal, Off-Road, and Sport modes for better control in various conditions. Additional features include a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, SiriusXM satellite radio trial subscription among others.
The top-tier Turbo Signature model combines luxury with performance featuring silver metallic finish wheels and Caturra Brown Nappa leather interior accented by genuine woodgrain trims. It also includes advanced navigation systems like Off-Road Navigation functionality integrated into the Active Driving Display.
