2025 Lexus LS Marks 35 Years Of Excellence In Luxury Sedans
The Lexus LS, celebrating 35 years, remains the flagship sedan for the brand. For 2025, it retains its elegant design and performance without changes from last year. The LS offers five distinct wheel designs and colours based on the model grade. The starting price for the LS 500 is $81,685, while the LS 500h starts at $116,560. These models are expected in dealerships later this year.
The LS 500 is powered by a 3.4-litre twin-turbo V6 engine, delivering 416 horsepower and 442 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine features a unique piston design for low emissions and quiet operation when cold. A wastegate control enhances performance efficiency by stabilising valve operations. The car accelerates from 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The front of the LS showcases a stylish fascia with squared lower radiator air intakes for a robust look. Its dark metallic spindle grille adds elegance, complemented by vertically stacked LED headlamps. The vehicle's stance is further defined by deep headlamps and squarish sub-radiator grilles. Ten exterior colour options are available, with some incurring additional charges.
The F SPORT variant of the LS highlights dynamic handling and style with elements like a wide stance accentuated by sub-radiator grille garnish wrapping to the sides. It features a dedicated spindle grille colour and 20-inch spoke alloy wheels with Gloss Black Metallic finish. Inside, it includes heated leather-trimmed steering and a Panoramic View Monitor as standard.
Lexus continues its tradition of attention to detail in the LS interior for 2025. Luxury and Executive Packages offer Haku interior ornamentation, crafted using an ancient Japanese technique to create thin metal foil applied by hand for a moonlight-like shine. New additions include wood and leather-trimmed heated steering wheels in these packages.
On Executive models, Kiriko Glass ornamentation and hand-folded pleats on door trims showcase Lexus's handcrafted approach. Inspired by traditional Japanese glassware, Kiriko patterns involve hand-cutting clear colours into glass polished to a soft glow.
Advanced Technology Features
The Lexus Interface features a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen offering intuitive controls similar to smartphones or tablets. It includes cloud navigation with Google POI data integration for accurate directions and traffic-based alternate routes through Drive Connect subscription.
With an active subscription, Intelligent Assistant provides voice command operations via "Hey Lexus," controlling navigation, multimedia, and climate settings using dual microphones for enhanced accuracy.
Safety Systems
The LS gas models come standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 (LSS+ 3.0), featuring Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Road Sign Assist, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Automatic High Beam, Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Proactive Driving Assist among others.
For hybrid models like the LS 500h AWD equipped with Lexus Teammate™, LSS+ 2.5 is standard along with additional safety features such as Front Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist.
