2025 Honda Civic Unveils Hybrid Powertrain And Stylish Updates
The 2025 Honda Civic emerges with a refreshing update, blending more style and advanced technology, highlighted by the introduction of a two-motor hybrid powertrain.
This latest model, available in both sedan and hatchback forms, aims to merge the Civic's renowned engaging drive with the efficiency of Honda's hybrid system. As Honda progresses with its electrification strategy, the hybrid models are anticipated to account for approximately 40% of Civic sales.

The hybrid variants of the Civic are now the most potent non-Type R models produced, boasting an expected 200 horsepower and 232 lb.-ft. of torque. Additionally, these models stand out for their superior EPA fuel economy ratings.
The two-motor hybrid system is designed to enhance efficiency without sacrificing performance or interior space. With features like four levels of regenerative braking, these hybrids promise a blend of control and efficiency.

Driving Experience and Features
Driving dynamics of the Civic hybrid have seen significant enhancements. Adjustments to spring and damper settings, along with tires specifically developed for these models, contribute to an optimized ride and handling experience. Furthermore, these hybrid trims boast the lowest noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels across the Civic lineup, thanks to a comprehensive noise reduction package that includes Active Noise Control.
The Civic LX and Sport trims continue to be powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. In contrast, the Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid trims feature the robust two-motor hybrid system. An added benefit for drivers is the ability to select from various drive modes, tailoring performance to suit different driving conditions.

Design and Interior Upgrades
The 2025 Civic's exterior design has been made more aggressive with updates to the front fascia and grille, along with new darker taillights. The hybrid-powered trims stand out with a unique body colored headlamp garnish and front lower spoiler.
Inside, the Civic sees a refresh with an option for a gray interior color. The Sport Touring Hybrid trim elevates the luxury with leather seating, a Bose premium audio system, and a larger touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Exclusively, the top-line Sport Touring Hybrid is equipped with Google built-in, featuring apps such as Google Assistant and Google Maps. This integration facilitates a connected driving experience, enabling voice-activated operations and access to a wide range of third-party applications for entertainment.
Safety Innovations
Safety remains a paramount concern for the 2025 Civic, which includes advanced active and passive safety technologies across all models. Honda's Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure is complemented by a suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies. All models come standard with the Honda Sensing suite of safety features, and Sport models are further equipped with Blind Spot with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
DriveSpark Thinks
This latest iteration of the Honda Civic not only emphasizes performance and efficiency through its hybrid models but also advances in terms of safety, technology, and driving dynamics. The 2025 Civic is poised to meet the diverse needs and preferences of drivers, reaffirming Honda's commitment to innovation and sustainability in the automotive industry.
