2025 Honda City Facelift: What To Expect And What Not To
The Honda City is a name that Indian auto enthusiasts resonate to due to its presence in the market through the years. The first gen Honda City was launched in India in 1998 and over the years, the car has been redone and redesigned to adopt the new trends
Now, in Brazil, a facelifted version of the Honda City was seen and it is expected to be the newest version of the much popular car. The changes we see aren't bold, instead they're small which in turn alter the identity of the City.

What's Different - Exterior
The changes include different design cues on the exterior of the car such as a reimagined grille, and on the inside, a dual-zone automatic AC and an electronic parking brake is seen.
The Honda City that is currently on the market features a diamond-style grille while the facelifted version shows a grille with horizontal design lines.

On the current model and on the facelifted model, we see the retention of almost the entire front-end, right from the connecting light bars and LED headlamps to the fog lamp housing and bumper.
Other features retained are the 16-inch dual tone alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, and the rear bumper we see on the current model.

What's Different - Interior & Features
Currently what we see inside the Honda City is a premium interior with a beige and black dual-tone finish. On the facelifted version, we see a white and black colour scheme followed in the cabin. However, the leatherette upholstery is still retained.
In terms of features, the Honda City Facelift sports a dual-zone automatic climate control, electronic parking brake, auto-hold, a wireless charging pad near the gear lever, and the same 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Other than the infotainment system, we are used to seeing the semi-digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents, 8-speakers, and the single pane sunroof that is there on the current production-spec City.
Same Powertrain
The powertrain on the 2025 Honda City will remain the same as the current-spec model. It will feature the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which comes linked to either a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. In terms of power, this engine produces 125hp and 253Nm.
Thoughts on the New Honda City Facelift
While the new Honda City comes with a host of new features and design changes, the structure and overall appeal remains more or less the same as the current outgoing model. This means that the 2025 Honda City is more of a mild facelift.
The Honda City facelift will go up against the Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Virtus, and other models in the same segment.

For pricing, we can expect the new City to be a little more expensive than the current model. For reference, the current Honda City starts at a price of Rs. 11.82 Lakhs and goes up to Rs. 16.35 Lakhs (both prices, Ex-Showroom).
