So let's take a deep dive into the new Honda Amaze and uncover the five most interesting things about the latest compact sedan from Honda for India.

Exterior Design

The Honda Amaze has undergone quite a transformation in terms of its looks. It looks like a mix of the City and the Elevate and while that may seem like a bad idea, the results are rather impressive.

The front end features a vertical, hexagonal grille above which sits a chrome bar connecting the sleek wraparound headlights. The headlights are LED units and also feature integrated LED daytime running lights that also act as indicators. Lower down on the bumper are the fog lamps.

Up at the top of the windscreen is a camera unit which is part of the ADAS suite while the ones on the ORVMs are part of the lane-watching system. The new Amaze rides on 15-inch alloy wheels (VX and ZX variants) that are shod with 185/60 tyres.

The rear section of the new Amaze features quite a few distinct features like the shark fin antenna on the roof, the small boot lip spoiler and the LED taillights that look like they've been pinched from the larger City sedan.

New On The Inside As Well

The changes to the 2025 Honda Amaze are not just limited to the exterior of the compact sedan. The interior too has been transformed with the biggest change coming in the form of the new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The infotainment unit is paired with a six-speaker audio system.

Other highlights of the new Amaze's interior include the air-mesh decor on the dashboard, the automatic climate control system with rear vents, the Honda Connect system with class-leading 5 years of free subscription, wireless phone charger and fabric seat upholstery. The new Amaze also offers class-leading 426 litres of boot space, more than enough for the family trip to the mall.

The Amaze Is Safer Than Ever

The 2025 Amaze is safer than ever before. Honda claims that in its in-house tests, the new Amaze has exceeded the current safety standards set by testers across the globe thanks to features like six airbags becoming standard across all variants. However, we are still waiting for an actual safety score from the various NCAP agencies around the world.

Honda wants the number of deaths in a Honda car to be zero by 2050 and the new Amaze reflects that dream with the Japanese firm equipping its compact sedan with its Honda Sensing Level 2 ADAS suite, making it the most affordable vehicle fitted with ADAS in India.

Familiar Fuel Efficient Drivetrain

The Honda Amaze may have undergone quite a few changes both inside and out but a peek under the bonnet reveals a rather familiar engine, the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, i-VTEC engine that pushes out 89hp and 110Nm.

The engine is offered with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic gearbox and can now also run on e20 fuel. The 2025 Honda Amaze manual returns a mileage of 18.65km/l while the Amaze CVT ups that mileage figure to 19.46km/l.

Variants, Pricing & Delivery

The 2025 Honda Amaze is offered in three variant levels - V, VX and ZX. All three variant levels are offered with both manual and CVT automatic gearbox options. The base 2025 Honda Amaze V Manual is priced at Rs 7,99,900 with the Amaze V CVT upping the price tag to Rs 9,19,900.

The 2025 Honda Amaze VX variants come packed with almost all the new features of the compact sedan except for the ADAS suite with the manual version priced at Rs 9,09,900 and the CVT option commanding a price tag of Rs 9,99,900.

The top-of-the-line Honda Amaze ZX variant brings the Honda Sensing suite to the compact sedan and is priced at Rs 9,69,900 for the manual version and Rs 10,89,900 for the CVT automatic. All prices mentioned here are introductory and will be revised after 45 days. Deliveries of the new Honda Amaze will start in January.
