2025 Honda Amaze Launched At Rs 7,99,900 - The Compact City

Japanese carmaker Honda has launched the third-generation Amaze compact sedan in India. Prices for the 2025 Honda Amaze start at Rs 799,900 (ex-showroom, introductory) and deliveries will start in January.

The new Honda Amaze will take on the likes of the recently launched Maruti Suzuki Dzire, the Tata Tigor and the Hyundai Aura and is offered in three basic trim levels - V, VX, and ZX.

Powering the third-generation Honda Amaze is the Japanese marque's tried and tested 1.2-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine (compliant with e20 fuel) that pushes out 89bhp at 6,000rpm and 110Nm of peak torque at 4,800rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic gearbox that deliver a mileage of 18.65km/l and 19.46km/l respectively.

The all-new third generation of the Honda Amaze is based on a revised version of the platform that underpins the larger City sedan and the Elevate SUV. Settling over that platform is a more upmarket-looking compact sedan that is identical in size to its predecessor except for the width, which has increased by 33mm.

At the front, the vertical, hexagonal grille with the Honda badge at its centre is flanked by sleek wraparound LED headlights with integrated DRLs. The headlights are connected by a strip of chrome that runs above the new grille. Lower down on the front bumper you find angular inserts on each edge that play host to the LED fog lights.

At the sides, the new Honda Amaze rides on a new set of snazzy 15-inch alloy wheels (draped in 185/60 tyres). Running along the sides is a line that connects the headlights to the taillights. Speaking of the taillights, these LED units feature an angular design similar to that of the City.

Step inside the third-generation Honda Amaze sedan and you're greeted by a heavily revised dashboard that is dominated by an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and comes connected to a 6-speaker sound system.

The seats feature fabric upholstery and the new 2025 Amaze also features semi-digital instrumentation, air mesh decoration on the dash, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, wireless phone charger, Honda Connect with 5 years free subscription remote engine start and a 416-litre boot.

The Honda Amaze is a massive step up when it comes to safety. The 2024 Honda Amaze is the first vehicle in the segment and the most affordable car in India to offer ADAS in the form of the Honda Sensing setup. The Honda Amaze also comes with 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, hill-hold assist, lane watch camera and ISOFIX anchors among others.
