2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV Launches With Up To 492 Miles Of Range And New Trim Options
The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV is set to debut later this year, offering three distinct trims with enhanced range, features, and pricing options for both retail and commercial buyers. The Max Range version leads the electric truck segment with an impressive 492 miles on a full charge. This model aims to address key concerns such as range and cost, providing more choices for customers.
"Truck customers tell us range is one of the main barriers to considering an EV. The 2024 Silverado EV already was the range leader, and for this new model year we’ve set the bar even higher," said Scott Bell, vice president, Chevrolet. "A second barrier to entry is price, so we are fortifying the Silverado EV lineup by providing more choice. For 2025, we’re introducing an LT trim, offering a more affordable RST package and expanding WT offerings. This increased capability and accessibility is great news for the segment, the industry, and the brand."
The Work Truck (WT) variant of the Silverado EV sets a new benchmark with its Max Range option offering 492 miles on a single charge. It remains available to commercial clients with a starting price of $69,495 for the extended-range battery pack that delivers 422 miles. Additionally, a new Slate Gray exterior colour will be introduced.
The LT trim makes its debut in the Silverado EV lineup with standard features that may qualify buyers for federal tax credits. It includes 300 kW DC fast charging capability and standard 18-inch aluminium wheels. The LT also boasts a unique lower front fascia and upgraded exterior lighting. With up to 765 lb-ft torque and 645 horsepower in Wide Open Watts mode, it offers robust performance.
The LT Premium Package adds further enhancements like a Multi-Flex Midgate for extended load floor space and Super Cruise technology for hands-free driving on select roads in North America by late 2025. This package provides a range of 390 miles per charge.
RST Trim Offers More Choices
The RST trim comes with two battery pack options, delivering up to 460 miles of GM-estimated range. Available in six colours including Zephyr Blue Matte Metallic exclusive to this trim, it offers flexibility in design preferences.
Pricing Details Across Trims
Starting prices for these models vary: Work Truck begins at $57,095; LT starts at $75,195; while RST's base price is $89,395. Select retail models might be eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit depending on customer eligibility.
