The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar is set to launch on September 9, 2024. This SUV aims to offer a blend of performance, safety, and technology, catering to the sophisticated needs of its customers. Tarun Garg, Whole Time Director and Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India Limited, highlighted the company's dedication to fulfilling customer expectations with the Alcazar.

Engine Options and Performance

The new Alcazar comes with two engine choices: a 1.5-liter GDi petrol engine and a 1.5-liter U2 CRDi diesel engine. The petrol engine generates 117.5 kW of power and 253 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel engine produces 85 kW of power and 250 Nm of torque. Both engines can be paired with either a manual or automatic transmission.

Designed for versatile performance, the Alcazar offers various drive and traction modes such as Normal, Eco, and Sport. These modes are tailored to different driving conditions and preferences. Additionally, traction modes like Snow, Mud, and Sand ensure stability and control across diverse terrains.

Advanced Safety Features

Safety is paramount in the Alcazar, featuring over 70 safety elements. A key highlight is the Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS, which includes 19 advanced driver assistance systems. These systems help prevent accidents by monitoring driver behavior for signs of fatigue or distraction.

Other notable safety features include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill Descent Control (HDC), front parking sensors, and an All Four Disc Brake system. These features collectively enhance the vehicle's safety profile.

Comfort and Convenience

The Alcazar also focuses on comfort and convenience with features like a Digital Key and Paddle Shifters. It includes an Idle Stop and Go feature for better fuel efficiency. The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) ensures optimal tyre health.

Additional conveniences include a Surround View Monitor (SVM) for better visibility, Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM) for safer lane changes, rain-sensing wipers for improved visibility during rain, Electro Chromic Inside Rear View Mirror (ECIRVM) to reduce glare from headlights behind you, and Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) for easier uphill starts.

The Hyundai Alcazar aims to provide a comprehensive package that balances performance with advanced safety features while ensuring comfort for all passengers. This makes it a compelling option in the SUV market.
