1000 Miglia Racing Events To Enthrall The USA With A New Florida Experience
The fifth edition of the 1000 Miglia Warm UP USA and the debut of the 1000 Miglia Experience Florida mark a significant presence of the Red Arrow on the east coast of the USA. On 30 May 2024, during the Italian National Day organised by the Consulate General of Italy, the Biltmore Hotel Country Club in Coral Gables, Miami, hosted the presentation of these events.
Scheduled for autumn from 22 to 27 October 2024, the 1000 Miglia Warm UP USA will be based in Middleburg, Virginia. This event offers a limited number of crews the opportunity to prepare for classic regularity trials. Participants will benefit from resources essential for maximising their performance in the race held in Italy.
The event will feature 5-star hospitality at the Salamander Resort & Spa and cover scenic routes through Virginia and West Virginia. Key locations include the Congressional Country Club in Maryland, Summit Point circuit, Blue Ridge Mountains, and Shenandoah National Park. The journey concludes at the Italian Embassy in Washington D.C.
Two car classes will be accepted: 1000 Miglia Era (vehicles built between 1927 and 1957) and Post 1000 Miglia Era (from 1958 to present). The top two finishers in each category will receive guaranteed acceptance for the 1000 Miglia 2025, adhering to entry regulations.
On 22 February 2025, Miami will host the inaugural edition of the 1000 Miglia Experience Florida. This event allows enthusiasts to learn about race rules and enjoy exclusive settings. The format supports both modern vehicles and classic cars, aligning with race guidelines and offering top-level services.
The route begins in Miami and traverses through Everglades National Park and Big Cypress National Preserve to Naples. It then heads north through Sanibel Island, Fort Myers, Venice, Sarasota, St. Petersburg, Tampa, Brooksville, Orlando, and Cape Canaveral. The journey concludes in Miami along A1A, with a striking finish at one of the city's iconic spots.
Accepted car classes include 1000 Miglia Era (vehicles built between 1927 and 1957) and Post 1000 Miglia Era (from 1958 to present). Winners in each category will receive guaranteed acceptance for the 1000 Miglia 2026 as per entry regulations.
The unique charm of the 1000 Miglia race has consistently attracted prominent figures from sport, industry, and entertainment. Participation in the Red Arrow is a matter of pride for many.
