1000 Miglia 2024: The Historic Rally Returns With A Scenic Route From Brescia To Rome

The forty-second re-enactment of the Red Arrow is set to commence, covering five legs over 2,200 kilometres from Brescia to Rome and back. The event, scheduled from 11 to 15 June 2024, will feature cars built between 1927 and 1957. This year's route, following an anti-clockwise direction, aims to evoke the spirit of the original 1000 Miglia speed race editions.

For the first time since 1948, the convoy will stop in Turin. The cars will parade through the city centre, greeted by the Red Arrow projected on the Mole Antonelliana. The procession will culminate in Piazza San Carlo, marking a significant moment in this year's event.

Another new addition is Genoa, where the first race lunch will be held. Other city legs include Viareggio, Rome, and San Lazzaro di Savena. The pre-race activities begin on Sunday, 9 June, with Technical and Administrative Checks at the Brixia Forum Paddock.

At 4:30 p.m., the 1000 Miglia Village will be inaugurated in Piazza Vittoria. Two hours later, the engines will roar to life for the seventh edition of the Trofeo Gaburri. Cars will compete between Corso Zanardelli and Brescia Castle, finishing in Piazza Paolo VI.

City Centre Activities

The city centre of Brescia is prepared to host various activities. From Sunday to Saturday, cars will be parked in central squares and streets. Restaurants, bars, and shops will remain open until late at night. On Saturday evening, the White Night festival stage in Piazza Loggia will host the prize-giving ceremony.

Additional Features

The event will also feature Ferraris from the Tribute 1000 Miglia and full-electric cars from the 1000 Miglia Green category. Supercars and Hypercars entered in the 1000 Miglia Experience will follow these vehicles.

Autonomous Drive Project

The 1000 Miglia Autonomous Drive project continues in collaboration with Politecnico University of Milan. A car with a robo-driver will be presented at the Village inauguration. Driven by Matteo Marzotto, it aims to complete a large part of the route in Autonomous Drive mode.
