Volvo XC40 Recharge Achieves 200 Units Delivery Milestone In India – All Details Here
Volvo Car India has achieved a new milestone with the Volvo XC40 Recharge electric SUV as the Swedish car manufacturer managed to deliver 200 units of the electric SUV in the country.
Speaking about the Volvo XC40 Recharge, the Swedish car manufacturer commenced the deliveries of the electric SUV back in November 2022, and it is the first luxury electric SUV to be locally assembled in India.
In terms of powertrain, the Volvo XC40 Recharge is powered by two electric motors, powering each respective axle. These electric motors together produce 402bhp of peak power and 660Nm of peak torque. On top of that, the electric SUV is equipped with a large 78kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
Thanks to such a large battery pack, Volvo claims that the XC40 Recharge could do more than 400 kilometres on a fully charged battery pack and charging this large battery pack from 10 per cent to 80 per cent takes just 28 minutes using a 150kW DC fast charger.
In terms of performance, the Volvo XC40 Recharge can accelerate to 100km/h from a standstill in just 4.9 seconds and reach speeds up to 180km/h. Furthermore, the Volvo XC40 Recharge comes with an 8-year warranty on the battery pack and an 11kW wall box charger.
That being said, the Volvo XC40 Recharge sports an identical silhouette to the standard XC40 SUV. In fact, both models share some design elements such as the Thor-hammer LED headlights, L-shaped LED taillamps, identical body lines, and a few more common design elements.
However, the Volvo XC40 Recharge does have some unique design elements to help the electric SUV stand out and this includes design elements such as a completely sealed front grille, a few 'Recharge' badges on the sides, a set of new 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and more.
At present, the Volvo XC40 Recharge electric SUV is available in just one variant and this variant is priced at Rs 56.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India), making it one of the most affordable luxury electric SUVs in the Indian market.
