Volkswagen Virtus GT DSG Launched At Rs 16.19 Lakh
German carmaker Volkswagen has launched a new variant level of the Virtus sedan. The Volkswagen Virtus GT DSG is priced at Rs 16.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Volkswagen Virtus GT DSG is the new entry-level version of the Virtus GT (Performance Line) lineup. With its arrival, the Volkswagen Virtus is now offered in a total of eight variants.
The new GT DSG variant is the third model in the Performance Line of the Virtus. The Virtus Performance Line is now offered in three guises - GT DSG, GT Plus MT and GT Plus DSG.
Like its other Virtus GT siblings, the new Virtus GT DSG draws power from VW's 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The turbo four-pot petrol powerplant produces 148bhp from 5,000 to 6,000rpm and 250Nm of peak torque at 1,600 to 3,500rpm.
The Virtus GT DSG's engine is paired with Volkswagen's Direktschaltgetriebe (DSG) 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox that sends power to the front wheels. The Volkswagen GT DSG returns an ARAI-certified mileage of 19.62km/l.
The Volkswagen Virtus GT with quite a bit of kit onboard as stock. This includes the 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The new Volkswagen GT DSG is offered with an 8-speaker audio system, the firm's My Volkswagen Connect Plus suite of smart car features and wireless mobile phone charging.
The Virtus GT DSG is offered in an array of six vibrant colour options - Wild Cherry Red, Carbon Steel Grey, Rising Blue, Reflex Silver, Curcuma Yellow, Candy White and Lava Blue.
