Volkswagen Taigun & Virtus Sound Edition Launched In India At Rs 15.52 Lakh – Comes With New Features
The Volkswagen Taigun and Virtus have been able to maintain consistent sales figures in India. However, the sales figures of both these models are nowhere near the respective segment leaders.
As such, Volkswagen India launched the new Taigun and Virtus Sound Edition models to boost overall sales figures in the country. The prices for the newly launched Taigun Sound Edition start at Rs 16.33 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the Virtus Sound Edition prices start at Rs 15.52 lakh (ex-showroom).
That being said, the newly launched Volkswagen Taigun and Virtus Sound Edition models are based on the Topline trim level. Also, both these models are available with manual and automatic gearbox options.
Moreover, the automatic variant of the New Taigun Sound Edition is priced at Rs 17.90 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the automatic variant of the Virtus Sound Edition retails for Rs 16.77 lakh (ex-showroom).
Speaking about the new Volkswagen Taigun and Virtus Sound Edition, the limited edition models sport numerous cosmetic upgrades over the respective standard models. Moreover, both these models also come with a few additional features compared to the standard models.
Looking into details, the new Volkswagen Taigun and Virtus Sound Edition models come with features such as electrical seat adjustments for the front seats, and a 7-speaker audio setup with a subwoofer and amplifier.
Coming to the cosmetic changes on the Sound Edition, the models feature 'Sound Edition' badging and graphics on the C-pillar. Colour options include Wild Cherry Red, Lava Red, Carbon Steel Grey, and Rising Blue. Moreover, both these models also feature a contrasting white roof and ORVMs.
As the new Volkswagen Taigun and Virtus Sound Edition models are based on the Topline variant, both these models come with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged engine with 113bhp and 175Nm of peak torque. As mentioned, gearbox options include 6-speed manual and automatic units.
