Volkswagen Taigun Anniversary Edition Discontinued – All Details Inside
Volkswagen India has discontinued the Anniversary Edition of the Taigun SUV after just less than a year since it was launched back in September 2022. Furthermore, this special edition of the Taigun SUV was available in 3 colour options.
These colour options include Rising Blue, Wild Cherry Red, and Curcuma Yellow. Moreover, at the time of the launch, the Volkswagen Taigun Anniversary Edition SUV was priced at Rs 15.69 lakh, ex-showroom.
In terms of appearance, the Anniversary Edition of the Volkswagen Taigun SUV features "1st" badges on both the interior and exterior of the SUV along with 11 other specially developed elements to make the model stand out.
These 11 specially developed elements on the now discontinued Volkswagen Taigun Anniversary Edition SUV include high lux fog lamps, body-coloured door garnish, black roof rail, black C-pillar graphics, sporty-looking black ORVM caps, window visors, door-edge protectors, aluminium pedals and more.
Also, the Volkswagen Taigun Anniversary Edition SUV was exclusively powered by a 1.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine (1.0 TSI). This powertrain produces 113bhp of peak power and 178Nm of peak torque. Gearbox options included a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
That being said, the Volkswagen Taigun SUV came with an optional 1.5-litre, turbocharged petrol engine (1.5 TSI). This powertrain produced 148bhp of peak power and 250Nm of peak torque, and transmission options included a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DSG unit.
