Upgraded Tata Nexon EV Max XZ+ LUX Variant Launched At Rs 16.99 Lakh – Boasts Added Tech
Tata Motors launched the upgraded Tata Nexon EV Max XZ+ LUX variant in India at Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This upgraded version of the top-spec variant of the electric SUV now features a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit.
Not only the new touchscreen infotainment unit is bigger but it is also much more crisp with a resolution of 1920X720. On top of that, this upgraded model now features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Other noticeable features in the upgraded Tata Nexon EV Max XZ+ LUX variant include a high-definition rear-view camera, 180+ voice commands in 6 languages (English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi).
That being said, Tata Motors has already commenced the bookings for the upgraded Tata Nexon EV Max XZ+ LUX variant. Also, the booking amount for the upgraded electric SUV has been capped at Rs 21,000.
Speaking about the Tata Nexon EV Max, the electric SUV comes with a bigger 40.5kWh battery pack compared to the standard Tata Nexon EV (30.2kWh). Thanks to the larger battery pack, the claimed range of the new Tata Nexon EV Max is rated to be 453km.
It is also worth mentioning that the larger battery pack on the Tata Nexon EV Max is approximately 70kg heavier than the battery pack on the standard model. To overcome this, Tata Motors equipped the Tata Nexon EV with a more powerful 143bhp electric motor with 250Nm of peak torque.
Thanks to this upgraded electric motor, the Tata Nexon EV Max can sprint to 100km/h from a standstill in just 9 seconds. Also, the Tata Nexon EV Max can reach a claimed top speed of 140km/h.
In terms of charging, the Tata Nexon EV Max comes with a 3.3kW AC charger as standard, but customers have the option to upgrade to a faster 7.2kW charger by paying an additional amount. This upgrade will reduce the charging time from 15-16 hours to just 5-6 hours.

With the upgraded 10.25-inch infotainment unit, the interior of the Tata Nexon EV Max XZ+ Lux variant now looks very sophisticated and upmarket. On top of that, the added features are likely to attract more EV buyers.
