New Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB Officially Revealed – Everything We Know So Far
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the German luxury car manufacturer's one of the all-time best-selling models in India.
As such, it is Mercedes-Benz's responsibility to ensure the E-Class remains a favourite to its core audience group in the country at the same time attracting more customers. This is quite a tall task considering its primary rivals are stronger than ever.

That being said, Mercedes-Benz has now officially revealed its upcoming E-Class LWB sedan. This model is expected to go on sale in China within a few months and will be available in the Indian market during the second half of 2024.
The demand for long-wheelbase body style is quite high in the Chinese and Indian markets, given a majority of its target audiences are chauffeur-driven. It is also worth mentioning that India is the only market where the E-Class is available in a long-wheelbase format with a right-hand-drive configuration.

When launched in India, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB sedan will be available in multiple configurations including sporty AMG-line iterations. However, the model is highly unlikely to get any AMG versions with an uprated powertrain.
In terms of dimensions, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB (W214) is dimensionally bigger than its predecessor and measures 5,092mm long, 1,880mm wide, 1,493mm tall, and sports a wheelbase of 3,094mm.

Coming to the design, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB looks quite similar to the standard model. However, the length of the rear doors is a huge giveaway and the rear quarter glass on the LWB model is positioned behind the rear door as opposed to integrated with the rear door.
However, the inside of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB is quite similar to the standard model with the exception of the rear seats and space on the second-row seating. Otherwise, the model comes with the same "Superscreen" setup.

With the Superscreen setup, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB comes equipped with not two but three screens on the dashboard. These screens include a 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a bigger 14.4-inch infotainment unit, and a slightly smaller screen for the co-driver.
Thoughts About The New Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB
When launched, we expect the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB sedan to quickly boost the overall sales figures of the German automaker in India. Also. the model is expected to have a good advantage over its immediate rivals due to extra space.
