Toyota Witnesses Impressive Growth In June Sales Report - HyRyder & HyCross Make A Big Impact
Toyota Kirloskar Motors is a prominent car manufacturer in India known for its diverse lineup of vehicles. Their fleet in India includes cars like the Glanza, Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Innova Crysta, Innova HyCross, Hilux, Camry, and Vellfire.
In the latest sales report for June 2023, Toyota witnessed a significant growth of 18.75 per cent, mainly driven by the success of their latest popular models, the HyRyder and HyCross. This growth is a testament to Toyota's strong demand in the Indian market.

As per the report, Toyota sold 19,608 units in June 2023, including exports to other countries. Compared to last year's sales of 16,512 units for the same month, Toyota has seen decent growth.
However, there is a slight decline compared to the previous month, in which Toyota sold over 20,000 units. This was the highest sales ever recorded for the carmaker since its inception.
The newly released sales report shows that the Toyota had delivered 18,237 units across India in June. Also, the month saw a significant rise in exports, with 1,371 units shipped.

Sales of Toyota's two latest flagship models, the Urban Cruiser HyRyder, the hybrid mid-size SUV, and the Innova HyCross, the hybrid MPV, have played a key role in driving the sales figure up.
Atul Sood, Vice President, Sales, and Strategic Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motors, said, "Since the introduction of the Urban Cruiser Highrider and Innova Highcross, there has been a good response from the customers. Toyota's sales have been steadily climbing for the past six months."
In the first half of 2023 (January to June), Toyota witnessed a remarkable sales improvement of 36.46 per cent, selling 1.02 lakh units. In comparison, during the same period in 2022, they sold 75,017 units, indicating an impressive increase of 27,354 units in a year.

Furthermore, in the second quarter of 2023, Toyota clocked a sales growth of 32.80 per cent, with a total sales of 55,528 units. Whereas the sales in Q2 of 2022 were 41813 units, with an increase of 13,715 units in a year.
In addition to the popular HyRyder and HyCross models, Toyota's Crysta and Fortuner have emerged as top-selling vehicles. The Glanza, the hybrid sedan Camry, and the premium MPV Vellfire also recorded impressive sales figures.
