2023 Toyota Vellfire Launched In India: Prices Start At Rs 1.20 Crore
The 2023 Toyota Vellfire has been launched in India at Rs 1.20 crore (ex-showroom). The Toyota Vellfire luxury MPV was unveiled in June in the firm's home market of Japan and it competes with the likes of the Mercedes V-Class here in India.
The 2023 Toyota Vellfire for India is offered in two trim levels - Hi Grade & VIP Grade. The 2023 Vellfire Hi variant is priced at Rs 1.20 crore while the VIP variant which gets the Executive Lounge package commands a price tag of Rs 1.30 crore (all prices are ex-showroom).
The 2023 Toyota Vellfire luxury MPV is based on the Japanese firm's TNGA-K modular platform that also underpins the Lexus LM. The new 2023 Vellfire is 4,995mm long, 1,850mm wide, and 1,950mm tall with a 3,000mm long wheelbase. The 2023 Vellfire is 60mm longer and 50mm wider than its predecessor.
Powering the 2023 Toyota Vellfire MPV in India is a petrol-electric hybrid setup. The strong-hybrid setup's 2.5-litre Atkinson cycle engine has an output of 190bhp and 240Nm and is mated to an e-CVT gearbox along with the electric motors. The new Vellfire offers a mileage of 19.28km/l.
The new 2023 Vellfire luxury MPV brings quite a few design tweaks compared to its predecessor. Up front, the new Vellfire sports a ginormous, 6-slat grille that is flanked by sleek headlights. The front bumper features new chrome highlights that run across the front bumper and up towards the headlights.
The 2023 Toyota Vellfire rides on brand new 19-inch alloy wheels that come shod with 225/55 tyres. The sides sport even more chrome near the windows.
At the rear, the roof-mounted spoiler hosts the third brake light while the larger taillights link up with the Toyota badge at the centre of the tailgate. Even more chrome can be found lower on the rear bumper.
The interiors of the Vellfire have received a major upgrade with a large new infotainment screen. The instrumentation too is now fully digital. Other features include the Super-Long Overhead Console which houses the AC vents, and the massive sunroof with independently operated shades on the left and right.
The Vellfire's cabin is offered up in three colour options for the upholstery - Sunset Brown, beige and black. The exterior too comes in 3 colourways - Precious Metal, Platinum Pearl White, and Jet Black.
