Toyota Rumion MPV – Top 5 Things You Need To Know
Toyota has launched the much-awaited Rumion MPV in India ahead of the upcoming festive season. The Japanese automaker has high hopes for the model as it is based on the highly successful Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV.
Also, we expect the newly launched Toyota Rumion MPV to attract the attention of many prospective buyers in India this festive season. That being said, here are the top 5 things about the newly launched Toyota Rumion MPV.
Design: The Toyota Rumion MPV sports a new front bumper and grille. Along with these design updates, the Rumion MPV also comes with a new set of dual-tone alloy wheels and a slightly updated rear bumper as well.
Variants: The newly launched Toyota Rumion MPV is available in 6 variants. This includes 3 trim levels - S, G, and V, where 'V' is the top-spec trim level and 'S' variant is the base model. Apart from that, Toyota also offers the CNG variant in the S trim level.
That being said, the automatic variants of the Toyota Rumion MPV are offered in two trim levels - S, and V. This gives a wider range of options to customers looking to buy a family MPV with an automatic transmission.
Price: Prices for the Toyota Rumion MPV starts at Rs 10.29 lakh (ex-showroom). However, prices for the automatic variants range between Rs 11.89 lakh and Rs 13.68 lakh, ex-showroom. As mentioned, the CNG variant is available in one variant and it is priced at Rs 11.24 lakh (ex-showroom).
Powertrain: The 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol engine in the Toyota Rumion is the same as the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. This engine produces 102bhp and 137Nm of torque. Also, this engine can be optioned with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
On the other hand, the dual-fuel powertrain in the CNG mode puts out 87bhp and 121Nm of torque. Also, this engine comes exclusively with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Also, Toyota claims the Rumion CNG can return a fuel efficiency of 26.11km/kg.
Features: The Toyota Rumion MPV is similarly equipped as the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. As such, some of the standout features include a 7-inch infotainment unit, wireless AppleCarPlay and Android Auto, 6 airbags, cruise control, ISOFIX child seat anchoring points, automatic climate control and more.
