5 Differences Between The Toyota Rumion & Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
Toyota recently launched the Rumion MPV ahead of the festive season in India. Though the new Toyota Rumion MPV is essentially a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, here are 5 differences you need to know.
Front Grille: The first difference you will notice between the Rumion and the Ertiga is the front grille. While the Toyota Rumion gets a mesh pattern on its front grille, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga gets horizontal chrome slats. However, both these front grilles are surrounded by chrome trim.
Redesigned Bumpers: A closer look also reveals that the bumpers used in Rumion & Ertiga are slightly different as the former gets brushed aluminium finishing around the lower air intake. Other than that, the fog lamp housing also looks quite different on both models.
New Colours: While Maruti Suzuki offers 7 shades with the Ertiga (Dignity Brown, Magma Grey, Oxford Blue, Auburn Red, Splendid Silver, Arctic White, and Midnight Black), Toyota offers just 5 colours (Spunky Blue, Rustic Brown, Iconic Grey, Cafe White, and Enticing Silver).
Different Alloy Wheels: Another noticeable difference between the Rumion and Ertiga lies in the design of alloy wheels. It is also worth mentioning that the alloy wheels of the Rumion looks a lot more sportier than the alloy wheels on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV.
Interior: The interior of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Rumion are quite different. While the Ertiga uses beige and black colours, the new Rumion uses grey shade on the inside. As such, we expect the Rumion's interior to be easier to maintain.
Thoughts: With the launch of the Toyota Rumion, we expect Toyota's sales figures to improve considerably. However, it will be difficult for Rumion to beat the Ertiga in terms of sales figures.
