Toyota Kirloskar Motor Celebrates 53 Per Cent Sales Surge in August 2023
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) highlighted a notable 53 per cent surge in their total sales for August 2023, with 22,910 units sold as opposed to the 14,959 units sold in August 2022. This impressive growth comprised 20,970 units in domestic sales and an export of 1,940 units that same month.
The performance for the period from January to August 2023 further advanced TKM's successful year with cumulative sales reaching 1,47,192 units. This represented an extraordinary 34.2 per cent growth compared to the same timeframe in the previous year.
That being said, the last year's sales figures stood at 1,09,669 units. The company attributes their capacity to cater to rising market demands to increased production, facilitated by the operation of three shifts.
July 2023 saw the company's strongest month in history with wholesale figures reaching an all-time high of 21,911 units, which reflects an ongoing upward trend in the company's successful operations.
Reflecting on this positive trend, Atul Sood, the Vice President of Sales and Strategic Marketing at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, expressed delight at their record performance with 22,910 units sold in August 2023. He attributed this success to strong sales volumes and an increasing demand for their automobiles.
Models such as the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Innova Hycross, Innova Crysta, Fortuner, Legender, Camry Hybrid, and Glanza have all contributed to this triumph.
Using the recent successes as inspiration, the company remains focused on broadening its array of offerings to suit the diverse needs of its customers. This commitment led to the August 2023 release of two new models, the All-New Vellfire and the All-New Rumion, with both already receiving promising market feedback.
In line with the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan campaign, TKM recently showcased the world's first prototype for a BS 6 (Stage-II) Electrified Flex Fuel Vehicle, reflecting their firm dedication to the adoption of more environmentally friendly technology.
Also, as the festive season approaches, TKM is dedicated to enhancing the experience for its customers through a selection of special promotional offers and benefits.
Thoughts: Toyota Kirloskar reporting a 53% surge in their total sales for August 2023 compared to the previous year, from domestic sales and exports shows one of the benefits of badge-engineered cars. That being said, sales figures are likely to increase in the coming months as well.
