Toyota Innova Crysta Prices Hiked In India – Top-Spec Variant Now Costs Rs 26.05 Lakh
The Toyota Innova Crysta is among the most popular MPVs in India. However, the model was discontinued for a brief period before reintroducing in the Indian market due to strong demand.
However, the reintroduced version no longer offered a petrol powertrain or automatic gearbox. This is to avoid direct competition with the newly launched Toyota Innova Hycross MPV. However, the reintroduced version of the Innova Crysta quickly pipped the Innova Hycross in terms of sales figures.
This high demand clearly shows how deep-rooted the Toyota Innova Crysta MPV is in the Indian market. Capitalising on this demand, the Japanese automaker has now decided to hike prices for the Toyota Innova Crysta ahead of the upcoming festive season.
Looking into details, not all variants of the Toyota Innova Crysta seem to have been affected by the latest price hike. In fact, pricing for the entry-level GX variant of the Toyota Innova Crysta remains the same.
That being said, the highest price hike of Rs 37,000 was reflected on the top-spec ZX variant of the Toyota Innova Crysta MPV. As a result, this variant now costs Rs 26.05 lakh (ex-showroom).
In comparison, Toyota hiked the prices for the VX variant of the Innova Crysta MPV by Rs 35,000. Thanks to this price hike, Toyota Innova Crysta VX prices start from Rs 24.39 lakh (ex-showroom).
Coming to the powertrain, the Toyota Innova Crysta is powered by a 2.4-litre, turbocharged diesel engine. This engine produces 145bhp and 343Nm of torque. Furthermore, power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
Thoughts About The Toyota Innova Crysta
With the re-launch of the Toyota Innova Crysta in India, the Japanese automaker has further strengthened its model lineup in the country. Moreover, we do not expect the recent price hike to have any significant effect on the sales figures of the Innova Crysta MPV in the country.
