Toyota Hilux Pickup Bookings Reopen - Prices Start At Rs 33.99 Lakh

Japanese carmaker Toyota has reopened bookings for the iconic Hilux pickup truck. The Toyota Hilux is offered in three variants with prices starting at Rs 33.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

The Toyota Hilux was launched in India in early 2022 but the Japanese marque stopped bookings later that year due to high demand and supply chain issues.

The Toyota Hilux continues to be offered in three trim levels in India. The base Toyota Hilux 4x4 MT Standard is priced a Rs 33.99 lakh. The Hilux 4x4 MT High is priced at Rs 35.80 lakh while the lone automatic variant (4x4 AT High) commands a price tag of Rs 36.80 lakh (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom).

The Toyota Hilux for India is offered with a lone diesel engine. The Hilux's 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine produces 201bhp at 3,400rpm and 420Nm of peak torque at 1,400rpm.

The Hilux is offered with a choice of 6-speed automatic and manual gearboxes that send power to all four wheels. The Toyota Hilux pickup truck's 4x4 setup allows it to traverse difficult terrains and wade into water as deep as 700mm. The Hilux features a 29-degree approach angle and a 26-degree departure angle.

The Toyota Hilux is 5,325m long, 1,855mm wide, 1,815mm tall and has a 3,085mm long wheelbase. The load bay of the Toyota Hilux is 1,500mm long and has a payload capacity of 435kg. The Hilux comes packed with a host of features including two Drive modes (Power & Eco), Tyre Angle Monitor and Front Parking Sensors among others.
