The Czech car manufacturer Skoda will bring the Octavia RS iV plug-in hybrid to India. However, this performance-oriented model will be brought to India in limited numbers as completely built-up (CBU) units and will not be manufactured or assembled at the automaker's facility in Maharashtra.
That being said, the upcoming Skoda Octavia RS iV plug-in hybrid comes with a 1.4-litre, turbocharged, 4-cylinder engine instead of the 1.8-litre, turbocharged engine in the previous version. Despite the lower displacement, this powertrain puts out 242bhp of peak power and 400Nm of peak torque in combined form.
Mercedes-Benz A 45 S Facelift
Mercedes-Benz is looking forward to introducing the facelifted version of the A 45 S performance hatchback in India and we expect this model to reach the showrooms by mid of 2023. Apart from that, the model will be imported into India as CBUs and will be available in limited numbers.
Moreover, the Mercedes-Benz A 45 S comes powered by a 2.0-litre, turbocharged, 4-cylinder engine with 421bhp of peak power and comes with a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system to efficiently put down the power. As such, the model can complete the 0-100km/h sprint in just 3.9 seconds.
If hatchbacks are not your thing, 2023 will still be exciting as BMW will be launching their latest iteration of the M2 sports car in India. However, this model is expected to reach around the later part of 2023. Also, the model is likely to be brought to India as CBUs and will be available in limited numbers.
Powering the BMW M2 is a 3.0-litre, Inline-6 cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine with 460bhp of peak power and 550Nm of peak torque. Apart from that, there is no sophisticated all-wheel-drive system, as such, all the power is sent to rear wheels alone. It is also worth mentioning that BMW might also give users the option to equip the M2 with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Lamborghini Urus S

Diving into details, the upcoming Lamborghini Urus S SUV comes with the same tried-and-tested 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged, V8 petrol engine with 666bhp of peak power and 850Nm of peak torque. Moreover, power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed torque converter gearbox.
The Ferrari 296 GTS is the drop-top version of the Ferrari 296 GTB and the Italian supercar manufacturer is looking forward to introducing the supercar in India by mid-2023. Powering this mid-engined Italian supercar is 3.0-litre, twin-turbocharged, V6 petrol engine and an electric motor.
In combined form, this powertrain puts out 830bhp of peak power and it can achieve a top speed of more than 330km/h. While the top speed is a bit of a task to be verified on most race tracks in India, the acceleration time of 2.9 seconds to 100km/h from a standstill can be checked.
