Top 5 Sub-4m SUVs Sold In India – June 2023

The sub-4m SUV segment is one of the most lucrative yet among the most competitive categories in the Indian automobile market. As such, it is not easy to break into this category given the stiff competition.

That being said, the sub-4m SUV segment has shown a 25 per cent YoY sales increase with a total sales of 87,860 units. That being said, here is the list of the top 5 contributors.

Tata Nexon (13,827 Units)

Tata Nexon once again becomes the best-selling sub-4m SUV as the company managed to sell 13,827 units in June 2023. However, despite the remarkable sales performance, YoY sales figures dipped by 3.2 per cent as the company managed to sell 468 units more in June 2022.

Hyundai Venue (11,606 Units)

In June 2023, Hyundai managed to sell 11,606 units of the Venue SUV with a YoY sales increment of 12.4 per cent. This makes the Hyundai Venue the second best-selling sub-4m SUV in the country for the last month.

Tata Punch (10,990 Units)

The Tata Punch is a micro-SUV positioned just below the Tata Nexon. Despite the strong competition, Tata Motors managed to sell 10,990 units of the Punch SUV in June 2023. This strong sales performance has resulted in a YoY sales increase of more than 5.5 per cent.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza (10,578 Units)

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza slipped to the 4th spot in the list as the automaker managed to sell just 10,578 units in June 2023. However, YoY sales figures for this SUV showed tremendous improvement at 140 per cent.

Mahindra Bolero (8,686 Units)

Though Mahindra Bolero enjoys a strong following in the rural markets. Thanks to this, it is currently the best-selling Mahindra product in the country after managing to sell 8,686 units in June 2023. YoY sales figures for the model also increased by almost 10.2 per cent.
