Tesla Teases Smaller EV - Claims To Be Already Bulding It
Tesla teased the arrival of a smaller electric vehicle car at its annual shareholder meeting. A render of the car's silhouette was shown by Tesla CEO Elon Musk to shareholders.
The render showed off the silhouette of the EV, which could bear the Model 2 name, from the side. However, what Musk told investors next is what has the EV community buzzing.

Musk stated that Tesla was actually building and designing a new product. Whether he means that Tesla is building a prototype or a production-spec car is what has the EV world in a tizzy.
Musk also stated that the teased model was just one of two cars that the firm was working on. The Tesla CEO stated that the design and manufacturing techniques used were above anything else in the industry.
While not much is known about the two new cars from Tesla the fact that the American firm teased that one was in production is once again a sign that the world's most influential EV maker is not sitting on its laurels and twiddling its thumbs.
If this new car is the long-rumoured "Model 2" which is also sometimes referred to as Tesla's under $25,000 (Rs 20.66 Lakhs), it should send alarm bells ringing in the offices of carmakers across the world.
The reason for the alarm is quite simple. If Tesla manages to get the formula right for its new small EV then the American marque may just be ready to sprint away from all of its wannabe rivals.
However, what may just calm quite a few frazzled nerves across the world is Tesla's track record. The Tesla Roadster 2 was unveiled quite a while back but still hasn't surfaced.
The Tesla Cybertruck also looked to be going down the same path, but the electric pickup truck is expected to make it into production sometime later this year.
Thoughts About The Tesla Model 2
The Tesla Model 2 or whatever it gets named by Musk could be another game changer for the EV marque not unlike the Model 3. We do hope it forces other carmakers to take notice as it could render quite a few of them obsolete.
