Tata Tiago EV Vs Citroen E-C3 – Powertrain, Range, Charging & More
Citroen recently launched the E-C3 in India with an aggressive price tag. That being said, in order to be successful, the French electric hatchback must prove itself against the home-bred Tata Tiago EV.
Price
Price plays a huge role in buying decision and the Tata Motors has this part licked with an aggressive starting price of 8.69 lakh (ex-showroom). In comparison, prices for the Citroen E-C3 electric hatchback starts from Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

That being said, prices for the long-range version of the Tata Tigo electric hatchback starts from Rs 10.19 lakh (ex-showroom), which is still more than a lakh cheaper than the most affordable variant of the Citroen E-C3 electric hatchback.
Variants
Coming to the variants, Tata Motors gives a lot more flexibility to its customers with a total of 7 variants out of which five variants belong to long-range versions, and within these 5 variants, two variants come with a faster 7.2kW home charger.

In comparison, the Citroen E-C3 comes with just 4 variants in total. This includes Live, Feel, Feel Vibe Pack, and Feel Vibe Pack dual-tone. Moreover, the price difference between the top-spec variants of both manufacturers now gets reduced to just Rs 44,000.
Powertrain
The base variants of the Tata Tiago EV come equipped with a 19.2kWh battery pack and an electric motor capable of producing 60bhp of power and 105Nm of torque, whereas the long-range versions pack a 24kWh battery pack and a 74bhp electric motor with 114Nm of torque.
In comparison, the Citroen E-C3 comes with only one powertrain option and this electric motor in the French electric hatchback puts out 56.2bhp of power and 143Nm of torque. Furthermore, it also comes equipped with a larger 29.2kWh battery pack as well.
Range & Charging
In terms of range, the Tata Tiago EV equipped with the larger 24kWh battery pack can do 315km on a single charge, whereas the base variant can do 250km on a single charge. Furthermore, it can charge from 10 per cent to 80 per cent battery capacity in 57 minutes.
Despite having a larger battery pack, the Citroen E-C3 electric hatchback can match the charging speed of the Tata Tiago EV as it can also be charged from 10 per cent o 80 per cent of its battery capacity in just 57 minutes.
Thoughts About The Citroen E-C3 & Tata Tiago EV
With an aggressive price tag, the Tata Tiago EV is a lot more affordable than the Citroen E-C3 electric hatchback. However, Citroen comes with a much larger battery pack and looks a lot more contemporary and stylish as well.
