The newly launched Tata Punch iCNG is available in 5 trim levels - Pure, Adventure, Adventure Rythm, Accomplished, and Accomplished Dazzle S. Moreover, prices for these 5 variants range between Rs 7.10 lakh and Rs 9.68 lakh, ex-showroom.

Design

The newly launched Tata Punch iCNG looks identical to the standard mode, albeit an iCNG badge on the tailgate. Like the exterior, the interior of the Punch iCNG also looks identical to the petrol model with the exception of an additional button used to switch between petrol and CNG modes.

Engine

Tata Punch iCNG is powered by a 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated, 3-cylinder engine with 72bhp and 103Nm of torque (CNG mode). However, in petrol mode, this engine is tuned to produce a healthier 84bhp and 113Nm of torque.

Gearbox

Unlike the standard petrol model, the newly launched Tata Punch iCNG SUV does not come with a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). Instead, the new Tata Punch iCNG SUV comes exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Features

The newly launched Tata Punch iCNG is the first version of the micro-SUV to feature a sunroof. Other features include automatic projector headlights, a 7.0-inch infotainment unit, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, height-adjustable driver seat and many more.

The newly launched Tata Punch iCNG SUV utilises Tata's famed twin-cylinder technology. This tech uses two smaller CNG tanks instead of one big CNG tank. Using this technology allowed better utilisation of the space inside the boot, resulting in a practically usable boot despite hosting two CNG tanks.

With the launch of the Tata Punch CNG, Tata Motors will be able to better compete against the CNG variant of the Hyundai Exter SUV. Also, the model is expected to boost the sales figures of the automaker, especially in tier 1 and tier 2 cities in India.
