Tata Punch EV - What To Expect From The Electric Micro SUV
The Tata Punch EV is almost ready to make its presence felt in the Indian market with the all-electric version of the micro SUV expected to debut in October.
But before the micro electric SUV from Tata Motors decides to debut on Indian roads, we decided to take a look at what we can expect from the all-new Tata Punch EV (Punch.ev).

Tata Punch EV Design
The Tata Punch EV is expected to keep the overall design of its dino-burning sibling with a few tweaks that show off its electric creds. So expect, the blue .ev badges and the teal Blue colour scheme along with new wheels and maybe even a sunroof, though that last bit is something we have our fingers crossed on.
One thing about the design that is confirmed is the fact that the Punch EV will be the first Tata EV to sport a charging port at the front. So, a modified front bumper for the electric Punch is definitely on the cards.

The interiors of the Punch EV are expected to remain quite similar to its ICE sibling. There is some talk about the new Punch EV sporting the 10.25-inch infotainment screen from the facelifted Nexon, though this is still to be confirmed.
Tata Punch EV Expected Specs & Range
The Punch EV is based on Tata's Gen 2 EV architecture. The electric motor is expected to power the front wheels. The Punch like the larger Nexon is expected to be offered with two battery pack options.

The two battery pack options are expected to be borrowed from Tigor EV and Tiago EV with the higher spec 26kWh version expected to feature a range of around 300km on a single charge. Both versions are expected to support the 7.2kW AC charger as well as fast DC charging along with the standard 3.3kW AC charger.
Thoughts About The Tata Punch EV
The Tata Punch EV will see Tata once again electrify one of its ICE-powered models. With prices expected to start somewhere near the Rs 11 lakh mark, expect the Punch to draw more customers to Tata's EV revolution and hopefully get rivals to start targeting the same space.
