Tata Punch Becomes More Fuel Efficient In Its BS6 Phase 2 Avatar – Check Out All Details
Tata Motors recently introduced the Tata Punch SUV with new BS6 Phase 2 powertrains and the updated model turn out to be more fuel efficient than the model it replaces.
Diving into details, the updated iteration of the Tata Punch SUV returns a fuel efficiency figure of 20.10km/l, which is 1.13km/l more than the previous iteration of the SUV which returned a fuel efficiency figure of just 18.97km/l.
Speaking about Tata Punch, the micro-SUV is currently one of the safest cars produced in India and comes with a 5-star safety rating for adult protection by Global-NCAP. Furthermore, prices for the model starts from Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
In terms of powertrain, the 2023 Tata Punch SUV uses an updated version of the 1.2L, naturally-aspirated petrol engine with 84.5bhp of power and 113Nm of torque. This uprated powertrain now complies with the upcoming RDE and BS6 Phase 2 emission regulations in India.
That being said, Tata Punch continues to be offered with top-notch safety features such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, cornering stability control, ISOFIX child seats, first-in-segment 'Brake Sway Control', and many more.
In terms of features, the 2023 Tata Punch SUV comes with features such as a semi-digital instrument console, a 7-inch infotainment, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, iRA connected car tech, automatic climate control, voice recognition, smart keyless entry, push-button start/stop, power-operated ORVMs with auto-folding, cruise control and many more.
Size-wise, Tata Punch measures 3,827mm long, 1,742mm wide, 1,615mm tall, and sports a wheelbase of 2,445mm. This makes the Tata Punch SUV slightly smaller than the Tata Altroz despite using the same ALFA-ARC platform.
