Tata Nexon Facelift SUV Launched In India At Rs 8.10 Lakh
Tata Motors in an attempt to dominate the SUV sales in India has launched the facelifted version of the Tata Nexon SUV in the country. This newly launched Nexon facelift SUV features plenty of changes compared to its immediate predecessor.
In terms of prices, the Tata Nexon facelift SUV range starts at Rs 8.10 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the diesel range of the Nexon facelift starts at Rs 11.00 lakh (ex-showroom). That being said, the top-spec Fearless+ trim costs upward of Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Coming to the design, the Tata Nexon facelift features a radically updated exterior with a futuristic split headlamp layout, front and rear lightbars, and sharp lines. However, being a facelift, the silhouette of the facelifted iteration remains somewhat similar to the previous version.
On the inside, the facelifted version of the Tata Nexon SUV sports an all-new interior consisting of a new layered dashboard, a larger 10.25-inch infotainment unit, a new fully digital instrument cluster, a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, a new upholstery, and much more.
Looking into the details, the layered dashboard design amplifies the width of the cabin and makes the SUV look a lot wider and premium, whereas the 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster now integrates navigation maps as well. Also, the larger infotainment unit further ups the premium ante.
Other noticeable features that are part of the facelifted version of the Nexon SUV include a 360-degree surround-view camera, connected car tech, a wireless charger, ventilated front seats, an air purifier, rear AC vents, and more.
Tata Motors has also improved the safety quotient of the facelifted version of the Tata Nexon SUV with advanced standardised safety tech such as 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), ABS, EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchoring points, parking sensors, emergency and breakdown call assistance, and more.
It is also worth mentioning that Tata Motors now changed the nomenclature of trim levels. According to Tata Motors, the Tata Nexon facelift SUV is now available in 4 trim levels - Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless.
Coming to the powertrain, the Tata Nexon facelift comes with two engine options. The 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine produces 120bhp and 170Nm of peak torque. On top of that, this powertrain can be specified to three transmission options - A 6-speed manual, a 6-speed AMT, and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
Also, the 1.5-litre, turbocharged diesel engine is retained in the facelifted model. This engine now puts out 114bhp and 260Nm of torque. This powertrain can be specified with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT gearbox.
