In terms of design, the upcoming Tata Nexon facelift looks very different to the outgoing model with its completely redesigned front and rear sections. That being said, the side profile is somewhat similar to the outgoing model.
In addition to the changes made to the exterior, the upcoming TataNexon facelift also sports a completely redesigned interior. The new interior is horizontally layered and accentuates the width of the cabin.
Apart from that, the Tata Nexon facelift also comes with features such as a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, an equally large fully digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree surround-view camera, connected car tech, a wireless charger, ventilated front seats, an air purifier, and much more.
Some of the noticeable safety features on the new Tata Nexon facelift include standard fitment of 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), ABS, EBD, ISOFIX childseat anchoring points, parking sensors, emergency and breakdown call assistance, and more.
In terms of the powertrain, the Tata Nexon facelift comes with two engine options. The 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine produces 120bhp and 170Nm of torque. On top of that, this powertrain can be specified to three transmission options - A 6-speed manual, a 6-speed AMT, and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
On the other hand, the 1.5-litre, turbocharged diesel engine puts out 114bhp and 260Nm of torque. It is also worth mentioning that this powertrain can be specified with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT gearbox.
Thoughts: The upcoming Tata Nexon facelift SUV is expected to fully dominate the sub-4m SUV segment in India and significantly boost the sales figures of Tata Motors in the coming months. Moreover, the introduction of the DCT gearbox is a very important touch to attract more premium segment customers.
