Tata Motors' Electric Revolution: A Sustainable Future For India!
Tata Motors, the leading automobile manufacturer in India and a pioneer of electric vehicles (EVs), announced today that it has reached a significant milestone of selling 100,000 Tata EVs. This achievement highlights Tata Motors' commitment to driving positive change and contributing to a sustainable future for India.
Over the past three years, Tata Motors has been at the forefront of the EV revolution in India, steadily increasing its sales from 10,000 to 100,000 EVs. To commemorate this special occasion, Tata Motors organized a breathtaking drone show that showcased their journey from dream to reality.

Mr. Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., expressed his excitement about reaching this milestone. He stated that this achievement not only brings satisfaction but also validates their decision to enter the electrification sector. He thanked their EV customers, the government, investors, and other companies within the Tata uniEVerse Ecosystem for their unwavering support in making this milestone possible.
Chandra emphasized that this milestone is just the beginning of an even greater electrification movement in India. It signifies progress within the ecosystem and instills confidence among customers, suppliers, charging infrastructure providers, and investors to embrace new technologies and expand capabilities within the industry.
Mr. Chandra also said that this rapid growth will create numerous job opportunities related to new technologies while simultaneously improving air quality and reducing oil imports. Ultimately, it positions India as a key hub for EV manufacturing.

Tata's EVs have already traveled an astonishing distance of 1.4 billion kilometers – equivalent to three round trips to the sun – further solidifying their contribution towards reduced carbon emissions and pollution.
Collectively, these efforts have saved an impressive 219432 tons of CO2 emissions while providing significant cost savings for owners who have collectively saved INR 7 billion on fuel costs during their ownership period.
Looking ahead towards shaping the future of mobility in India,Tata Motors has outlined its 3-phase EV strategy. This includes offering a variety of body styles at affordable price points to cater to the evolving needs of EV consumers.
The company has already showcased future concepts such as the Curvv, Harrier EV, Sierra EV, and Avinya at the Auto Expo 2023, which will attract new segments of customers in India. Furthermore, Tata Motors plans to expand charging infrastructure across the country to ensure seamless mobility and eliminate range anxiety.
