Tata Harrier Reaches One Lakh Sales Milestone – Facelifted Model In The Pipeline
Tata Motors recently announced that the Tata Harrier SUV has reached 1 lakh unit sales milestone in India. This new sales milestone for the Harrier SUV was achieved in just over 4 years.
Speaking about the Tata Harrier, the SUV was launched back in January 2019, and the model immediately gained good traction in the SUV market. Recently, the company also commenced the deliveries of the 2023 iteration of the Harrier SUV in India.

This updated version of the Harrier SUV comes with a BS6 Phase 2-compliant 2.0-litre, turbocharged, 4-cylinder, diesel engine. This engine puts out 168bhp of peak power and 350Nm of peak torque.
That being said, unlike most SUVs, the Tata Harrier sends its power and torque to the front wheels. Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

In terms of features, the 2023 Tata Harrier SUV comes equipped with features such as a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a fully digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree surround-view camera system, 6-way power adjustable driver seat with memory function and more.
On top of that, the 2023 Tata Harrier also comes with ADAS tech, which includes a whole network of active safety features such as autonomous emergency braking (AEB), traffic sign recognition, high-beam assist, blind-spot detection, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, forward and rear collision alert and door open alert.
The 2023 Tata Harrier SUV is currently available in 6 exterior colours - Oberon Black, Daytona Grey, Orcus White, Tropical Mist, Royale Blue, and Calypso Red. Furthermore, the 2023 Tata Harrier is also offered in Red Dark Edition, which features an all-black theme and red accents.
Thoughts About The Tata Harrier SUV
The launch of the Tata Harrier SUV has been a game-changer for Tata Motors in India as the SUV helped the company attract more premium customers. This helped Tata Motors push more into the premium sector and generate more revenue.
That being said, Tata Motors is currently developing the facelifted version of the Harrier SUV, and we expect this updated version of the SUV to be launched ahead of the year end.
