Upcoming Tata Harrier Facelift SUV Teased – Bookings To Open On October 6

Many people in India have been anxiously waiting for the facelifted version of the Tata Harrier SUV for quite some time. Though the Tata Harrier facelift model was expected to make its debut at the Auto Expo 2023, it did not happen.

Instead, Tata Motors revealed the Red Dark editions based on the outgoing versions of the Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs. These Red Dark editions of the Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs came with styling upgrades and additional features including ADAS tech.

Now, to capitalise on the sales push during the festive season, Tata Motors has teased the facelifted version of the Harrier SUV. Also, Tata Motors announced that the bookings for the updated model will be opened on October 6.

Looking at the teaser video, we can clearly say that the facelifted version of the Tata Harrier SUV looks a lot more futuristic and premium than the outgoing version. Moreover, the design of the upcoming Tata Harrier facelift looks very similar to the newly launched Nexon facelift SUV.

Some of the noticeable design elements include a split headlamp design consisting of vertically stacked headlights, full-width LED DRLs, a reprofiled front bumper, a more upright front section, a completely new front grille and much more.

On the inside, we expect the upcoming Harrier facelift SUV to sport a new layered dashboard, a new touch-sensitive HVAC controls (similar to one in the Tata Nexon facelift), a new digital driver's display, a larger touchscreen infotainment unit and much more.

Also, like the newly launched Tata Nexon facelift SUV, we expect the upcoming Tata Harrier facelift SUV to also feature the illuminated two-spoke steering wheel (illuminated logo), making the model look very sophisticated.

In terms of powertrain, the upcoming Tata Harrier facelift could feature the all-new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine. This engine is expected to put out 168bhp and 280Nm of torque.

This is the same 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine that was showcased by the automaker at the Auto Expo 2023. That being said, the diesel engine will be part of the product lineup as usual with minimal changes.

As such, the 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine is likely to produce the same 168bhp and 350Nm of peak torque. Also, both engine options are likely to feature both manual and automatic variants.

Thoughts About The Upcoming Tata Harrier Facelift

The facelifted version of the Tata Harrier SUV will help Tata Motors better compete against its primary rivals in the segment. Additionally, the launch of the Tata Harrier facelift will help the automaker boost its sales considerably in the segment.
