Tata To Flex Its EV Muscles At Auto Expo 2023 – Electric Versions Of Altroz, Harrier, & Safari Teased
Electric versions of the Tata Altroz, Harrier, and Safari have been teased by Tata Motors ahead of the upcoming Auto Expo 2023.
The teaser regarding the company's future electric vehicles was shared across its official social media handles. Apart from that, the 18-second teaser video revealed the silhouettes of the above-mentioned EVs along with a concept vehicle.
Along with the teaser video, Tata Motors tweeted "We're all set to unveil the future of India's mobility at the Auto Expo 2023. Are you ready? Stay tuned. 11th January 2023". As such, we expect Tata Motors to reveal these electric vehicles at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023 and show its strength in the EV space.
Out of these electric vehicles, the Tata Altroz EV made its first public appearance back in 2019 alongside the conventional iteration of the premium hatchback at the Geneva Motor Show. Though the Altroz EV was revealed almost 4 years back, the premium electric hatchback could not go into production due to the semiconductor shortage.
Coming to Tata Harrier and Safari EV, we expect both these models to sport identical setups. Apart from that, it would be a good opportunity for Tata Motors to introduce all-wheel-drive (AWD) versions of the Harrier and Safari in the market albeit in the EV guise.
On top of that, we expect both these upcoming EVs to sport a minimum battery capacity of around 60kWh and have a peak power output of around 200bhp mark. Since the range is a crucial factor for EVs, both Harrier EV and Safari EV are expected to come with a real-world range of 300-350 kilometres on a fully charged battery pack.

Thanks to the latest teaser video, we can expect the presence of electric vehicles such as Tata Altroz EV, Harrier EV and Safari EV at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023 along with Tata's other models such as the Punch EV, Avinya Concept, Curvv Concept, and a few more. On top of that, the presence of these many EVs will strengthen Tata Motors' reputation in the Indian EV sector.
