Tata Curvv SUV Likely To Be Launched In 2024 – Testing Continues
The testing of the upcoming Tata Curvv SUV seems to be in full swing as the model has been spotted testing more than a few times in the last few weeks. In fact, many expect the launch of the Tata Curvv SUV to happen a lot sooner.
Though the upcoming Tata Curvv concept SUV has been revealed, the Tata Curvv test mules continue to wear heavy camouflage to disguise their actual design and silhouette. That being said, the Tata Curvv concept itself looks pretty much production-ready on the outside.
That being said, the upcoming Tata Curvv SUV will be available in both petrol and EV models. Moreover, we expect Tata Motors to launch the electric version of the Curvv SUV sooner.
Also, this electric version of the upcoming Tata Curvv SUV is likely to be launched by mid 2024, whereas the petrol-powered Tata Curvv SUV is expected to be launched by early 2025.
Under the skin of the upcoming Tata Curvv, the model is expected to feature the automaker's Gen2 electric powertrain setup. This uprated powertrain is expected to have a claimed range of more than 450 kilometres on a fully charged battery pack and the model is also expected to feature AWD.
It is also said that the petrol version of the Tata Curvv SUV will come with a new 1.2-litre, turbocharged petrol engine with around 125bhp and 225Nm of torque. Furthermore, the model is also expected to feature a more powerful 1.5-litre, turbocharged, petrol engine as well.
When launched, the Tata Curvv is expected to have many buyers due to its distinct looks and decent feature list. Also, the ICE version of the Tata Curvv SUV will compete against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and other C-Segment SUVs.
Thoughts About The Upcoming Tata Curvv SUV
When launched, We expect the Tata Curvv SUV to contribute significantly to the overall sales volume for the automaker as the model will compete in the highly lucrative C-segment SUV category.
As such, the resulting improved sales figures will help Tata Motors compete better against Hyundai for the second spot in terms of overall passenger car sales volume in the country.
