Tata Motors Breaks Ground: Launches the Ace EV in Nepal
Tata Motors, a globally acclaimed manufacturer of commercial vehicles, has made a significant stride towards green transportation with the introduction of their ground-breaking Ace EV in Nepal. The sole authorised dealer in the country, Sipradi Trading Pvt. Ltd, will distribute the vehicle. The Ace EV, a cutting-edge, emission-free, four-wheel small commercial vehicle (SCV), offers a sustainable and intelligent transport solution for various intra-city logistics.
This launch in Nepal underscores its inaugural entry into the global market and is set to redefine eco-friendly transportation. The revolutionary Ace EV's inaugural fleet has been dispatched to clients in Kathmandu. The Ace's electric iteration has been designed to cater to eco-conscious companies.
Reflecting on the moment, Mr. Anurag Mehrotra, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicle Business’s Head of International Business, shared, "The Ace EV's launch is a significant turning point in our quest to deliver emission-free cargo mobility in Nepal. The Ace EV has been designed and built with intra-city freight transport requirements in mind, providing exceptional value to everyone who is pushing for a carbon-neutral future."

The 4-wheeler, Ace EV, has been co-developed in close coordination with its users and backed by a carefully selected ecosystem, providing a comprehensive solution for the e-cargo mobility. Besides supporting efficient last-mile deliveries, the Ace EV embodies the future objectives of its eco-sensitive customers to achieve zero-carbon emission.
A dedicated team of experts and sophisticated Electric Vehicle Support Centres (EVSC) will offer 24x7 support for the Ace EV fleet. Real-time vehicle tracking and efficient fleet management are made possible due to the vehicle's advanced telematics system.
The Ace EV is the first offering from Tata Motors' EVOGEN powertrain series, boasting a certified range of an unrivalled 154 kilometres. It guarantees safe all-weather operation with an advanced battery cooling system and a regenerative braking system, enhancing the driving range.
The vehicle supports regular and fast charging, promising high uptime. A 27KW (36hp) motor powers it, offering a peak torque of 130Nm, enabling high cargo volume, and a 22% grade-ability allowing easy ascents even under loaded conditions. The Ace EV's container is specially customised to cater to Nepal's unique needs.
