Suzuki eWX Concept Electric Car Debuts – 230km Range & More
The automotive industry in India is poised for a major revolution with Suzuki's focus on electrification. Suzuki will showcase a host of new electric vehicles at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show 2023. These include the eWX and EVX, presumed to be the next-gen WagonR electric and compact electric SUV, respectively.
Suzuki eWX Electric Mini Wagon Concept
The original plan was for Maruti Suzuki to launch the WagonR electric in 2020, but with the global pandemic and subsequent techno-commercial viability challenges, plans were shelved. Yet, presently, as the industry welcomes electrification, Maruti may soon debut its first EV for the Indian market.

Expected to eventually morph into the WagonR electric, the eWX electric mini wagon concept will be on display at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show 2023. The eWX, essentially a Kei car and will measure 3,395mm long, 1,475mm wide, and 1,620mm tall.
It is also worth mentioning that the Suzuki eWX boasts a range of 230 kilometres on a fully charged battery pack. That being said, the technical specifications of the upcoming models are slated for future announcements.

Exciting design elements include an exterior colour theme with contrasting yellow highlights across the front bumper, wheels, side cladding, and windows, a boxy profile similar to the existing WagonR, and a compact, aesthetically pleasing structure.
Kei Car Concepts & Maruti Suzuki EVX
Joining the eWX at the show will be other Kei car models, including the e-Every concept, a mini commercial Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) perceived as ideal for daily needs. Suzuki, Toyota, and Daihatsu jointly developed this vehicle.

Also gracing the platform will be the Spacia Concept and Spacia Custom Concept. These models add charm and convenience to routine commute options.
Price Expectation
Coming to the pricing, we expect these upcoming electric cars from Suzuki to be priced in between the Tata Tiago EV and Citroen eC3 electric hatchbacks. Also, with a range of 230 kilometres, we expect these models to cater to the requirements of a typical urban buyer.
