Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition Launched In India At Rs 12.39 Lakh – 1.0L Turbo Petrol, Manual Gearbox & More
Skoda has launched the new Kushaq Onyx Edition SUV in India for Rs 12.39 lakh (ex-showroom, India), which makes it Rs 80,000 more expensive than the base 'Active' trim level of the SUV.
Changes on the exterior includes grey graphics on the doors, 'Onyx' badging on the B-Pillar, a faux diffuser on the front bumper, chrome surrounds on the front grille, and 16-inch wheels with new plastic covers.

In comparison, changes on the interior of the Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition are a bit more subtle with the likes of textured pattern on the dashboard, chrome surrounds on AC vents, a two-spoke steering wheel, black and grey interior, and 'Onyx' badging on scuff plates and headrests.
The newly launched Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition comes with features such as LED headlights, fog lamps, a rear defogger, a rear wiper with washer, a 7-inch infotainment unit, a 6-speaker audio system, auto climate control, and a height-adjustable driver's seat.

In terms of safety features, the Skoda Kushaq is one of the safest cars available in India with a 5-Star safety rating under the latest Global-NCAP regulations. Moreover, noticeable safety features include 2 airbags, ESP, TPMS, ISOFIX points and more.
In terms of powertrain, the newly launched Skoda Kushaq SUV comes with just one engine option. This engine is a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine with 115bhp of power and 178Nm of torque. Furthermore, this powertrain comes exclusively mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
That being said, there is a possibility of Skoda introducing the 6-speed automatic gearbox in the newly launched Kushaq Onyx Edition SUV. This will enable Skoda to better compete against its main rivals.
Speaking about rivals, the Skoda Kushaq competes against the likes of other SUVs in the segment such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, Toyota Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
