Simple One Electric Scooter Launch Date Revealed – All You Need To Know
Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Simple Energy announced the launch date of its long-awaited Simple One electric scooter in India. According to the company, the Simple One electric scooter is scheduled to be launched on 23 May.
Speaking about the upcoming Simple One electric scooter, Simple Energy earlier claimed that its latest iteration of the electric scooter can do more than 200 kilometres on a fully charged battery pack.

It is also worth mentioning that the latest version of the Simple One electric scooter packs in a more powerful 8.5kW (11.4bhp) electric motor with 72Nm of torque. To support this electric motor, Simple Energy has also equipped the scooter with a larger 4.8kWh battery pack as well.
Thanks to this upgraded powertrain, the upcoming Simple One electric scooter is said to have a top speed of around 105km/h and can accelerate to 40km/h from a standstill in just 2.77 seconds.

That being said, the Bengaluru-based EV start-up recently raised more than $20 million (Rs 165 crore) in the latest round of funding to ramp up the production of its Simple One electric scooter at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Shoolagiri, Tamilnadu.
This manufacturing facility is spread over an area of 2,00,000 sq.ft and the company claims that it is equipped with the best-in-class General Assembly Line, India's first patented in-house motor manufacturing line, Customer Acceptance Line, a battery manufacturing line, cell storage, and a few more supporting facilities.

At present, Simple Energy has bagged more than 1 lakh bookings for the Simple One electric scooter in India and we expect this upcoming electric scooter to be priced at around Rs 1.25 lakh, ex-showroom.

We have high expectations for the upcoming Simple One electric scooter in terms of its performance and handling characteristics. Also, if Simple Energy prices its EV aggressively, we expect it to soon compete against the likes of Ather, TVS, and Ola Electric in terms of sales volume.
